about 1 yr before the accident when it still had whitewall tires.
Here is the same bike
after the accident. You can see that the frame is actually bent upwards
from striking the other vehicles rear tire. My heel was broken after it
caused the bend in the exhaust. The bike was considered a total loss by my insurance
company with an estimate of $9800 to repair.
Here is a picture of
my right side showing the bruising of my 5 broken ribs.
Here
is a pic of my broken right foot. The doctors claim it could take a year
for this to heal.
Here is the incisions
on my back where they fused 5 vertebrae together to stabilize my spinal
injury.
If you look closely at the image on the right, you can see where only a
portion of the L2 vertebrae remains. This was known as a burst fracture.
December 29, 2003. - I've lost 22 lbs and have 8 weeks to go with these
braces. My daugher-in-law painted a "Buzz Lightyear" theme on
the back brace so my grandchildren wouldn't be afraid of me.
