December 4, 2007 - FILE DOWNLOAD/UPGRADE POLICY
Downloads of updates or complete purchased versions are for a period not
to exceed 90 days. Customers are expected to make backups of their downloads.
We do not maintain these downloads indefinitely. Upgrades are only offered
for a 2 year period. Upgrades are provided free for a 1 year period from
date of purchase. Upgrades after the first year are fee-based. Proof of
purchase is required.
July 10, 2007 - Traffic
Data (April/May 2007) Update
This update of new flight schedules and aircraft callsigns replace
the following files:
All "arrivals.flp" files in all sectors
All "departs.flp" files in all sectors
All "analysis.dat" files in all sectors
"master.cs" in the ATCsimulator root folder
(extra callsigns have been eliminated)
"master.ac" in the ATCsimulator root folder
(extra aircraft types have been eliminated)
"airlines.bin" in the ATCsimulator root folder
"civilian.bin" in the ATCsimulator root folder
"phrase.ini" (used for creating custom pilot
voices) (extra callsigns have been eliminated)
"script.txt" (used with the LEXDLG.EXE editor)
"Brad.vce" in the ".\Speech" folder
This update will work with version 2.8.9 or later. I would suggest that
you first make a backup of your "..\ATCsimulator\Sectors\" or
"ATCsimulator2\Sectors\" folder before applying this update.
Also, it is highly recommended to back up additional files listed above
that are not located in your '.\Sectors' folder so they can be restored
in the event of an error.
In the event any problem is encounted, you can restore the original data
and then send us a report of the problem encountered and the sector involved.
Click on this link and then select
"Save As"; !! DO NOT SELECT RUN !!, and save this to your "ATCsimulator"
or "ATCsimulator2" root folder. This is typcially;
C:\Program Files\ATCsimulator
or
C:\Program Files\ATCsimulator2
NOTE for build 2.8.9 Users: If running version 2.8.9, you will need to
manually run this file from the ATCsimulator root folder.
The next time you play ATCsimulator®2, it will automatically update
the sector data with this new information. It will also delete the downloaded
file once completed, so you may wish to make a backup of this file as
well for future use. Customers who purchase 3.3.0.16 or later, do not
need to apply this update since it is included with the product.
March 12, 2007 - VISTA Tips
To run ATCsimulator2 on a VISTA machine, you MUST do the following;
Before, during and after installation, locate all EXEs in the ATCsimulator2
root folder and all of those located on the CD, set the compatibility
to "Windows XP/SP2" , check "Disable Themes" and check
"Run As Administrator".
October
12, 2006 - An upgrade to users of any previous version of ATCsimulator2
(build 3.3.0.16) is available for $20. This offer is not available to
version 1.5, or 1.0. Proof of purchase is required, and the upgrade is
provided as a download only. You will be issued an invoice from Paypal
to pay for the upgrade once your purchase has been validated. If you wish
to upgrade your copy of ATCsimulator®2, first register
your copy of the product and then click here
to send your request via email.
*NOTE:
This update is not offered to copies of ATCsimulator®2 in Profisoft
packaging purchased on/after January 7, 2006 from Profisoft or any of
its affiliates.
January 31, 2006 - Note to existing 3.3.0.8 customers. Version 3.3.0.10
denotes a change in the installation process of ATCsimulator®2, and
no changes to the program have been made. An update to 3.3.0.10 is not
required, nor is one provided. I hopes this clarifies any confusion we
may have created.
If you encounter a problem not addressed by the following upgrade, please
email us at atcsimulator@cox.net
with an explanation of the problem, and at least the Windows operating
system you are running. But please, no questions
for support of Speech Recognition, only problems related to the ATCsimulator®2
program itself.
Thank you for your support
and suggestions. Enjoy!
